As fall arrives, we brought a little of the season into the house.
For us, autumn begins with colour. Autumn Brown #64402A, Dark Goldenrod #B28619, Autumn Green #A7A90A, and Dark Mahogany #340C00 became our palette for the season. We started looking for these colours in flowers, leaves, branches and little things that could quietly find their place around the Galerie. A warmer brown here, a touch of gold there, a muted green beside the window. Slowly, the house began to feel a little more like autumn.

At the flower shop, we came across a few branches of maple leaves and brought them home almost without thinking twice. They now stand in a large pot by the entrance, greeting you as you step into the Galerie. We left the branches in their natural shape and let the leaves do what they wanted to do. Day by day, they loosen, turn and fall onto the floor around the pot. We rather like watching the arrangement change on its own.
Further inside, the long table holds our jewellery alongside a traditional Chinese vintage lacquer cabinet, painted in deep red and black with small brass fittings. The cabinet holds a selection of Atelier pieces, its aged surface bringing a little warmth and history to the jewellery.
Beside it sits a sculptural wooden vase filled with Sanguisorba. Its fine branches stretch lightly upwards, carrying small, dark mahogany blooms that almost disappear and reappear as you look at them. Sanguisorba is often associated with healing and protection, and its quiet, understated form felt right for this corner of the house. Nothing too full, nothing too arranged.

Following this palette, a new Atelier collection in jade is arriving especially for the season. Jade has been treasured in Chinese culture for thousands of years, admired not only for its natural beauty but also for its lasting presence in Chinese art, ornament and craftsmanship.
The history of jade is closely connected to the landscapes where it is found. Xinjiang, particularly the Hotan region, has long been associated with Hetian Jade and has played an important role in the history of Chinese jade. The region is known for its beautiful white jade as well as naturally occurring coloured varieties. Qiemo, also within Xinjiang, is known for its warm-toned jade, which immediately reminded us of the autumn brown we wanted to bring into this collection.
Further east, Qinghai is another recognised source of jade, where we found Celadon Jade in a muted pale green. Historically, Chinese potters developed Celadon pottery to echo the beauty and value of real jade, giving the glaze its characteristic green tones that shift between green and grey in the light. We hand-picked each jade for its similar muted colour, reminiscent of moss after rain and leaves beginning to turn. A quiet shade that brings the feeling of autumn into the design.
For this fall Atelier collection, we carefully selected each stone from these regions, not looking for perfect uniformity but for the natural colour, feeling and character that felt right for fall. Hetian White Jade forms the base of the collection, paired with specially selected Qiemo Jade and Celadon Jade.
We translated the familiar beaded arrangement of our Pond's Lullaby Necklace into jade, keeping the same rhythm and composition while allowing the natural colour, texture and weight of jade to give the design a new presence. The collection also comes in rings and earrings, giving you different ways to wear the same language. Each piece can be worn on its own for something more understated, or layered and stacked together when you want a little more colour and character. They are made to sit easily with what you already wear, or to become that small unexpected detail that brings a little autumn into your everyday.

October at MYJN Galerie
In the house, we will be serving roasted Kukicha throughout the season for those who visit. Its warm, toasted character feels especially fitting for these autumn tones, adding another small layer to the atmosphere of the house.
A warm cup, autumn colours, falling maple leaves, and a new jade jewellery collection.
Perhaps this is our way of bringing fall a little closer.
