The Naming

We named it HAO, written as 皓.
It describes a particular kind of white: moon bright, luminous, calm. Not glare, not shine. A steady light that feels clean and reassuring.

And because this season is about beginnings, HAO holds a second, quieter layer.
It brushes against 好, a simple wish for good to follow you. Not as a headline. More like a private blessing, tucked into something you touch every day.

Design Philosophy

It was created as a small companion for your everyday. Something that feels reassuring in the hand, adds a quiet glow to the things you carry, and moves with you without asking for attention.

We began with what people love about pearls: not ceremony, not heritage, but the way their light stays soft and calm. Then we reinterpreted that feeling through earth and fire.

Each bead is shaped, fired at very high temperature, then glazed until it holds a milky lustre with depth, not shine. Up close, you will notice faint clouding and tiny shifts in tone and contour: a studio made honesty that makes it feel like an object, not a product.

Not loud. Not over explained. Just a steady, personal piece designed to bring ease, warmth, and familiarity wherever you go. A talisman for the everyday. Quiet, and always there.


The Trinity of Materials:

Earth
Three high-fired porcelain beads, glazed and custom-toned into a porcelain pearl. Smooth, weighty, and arranged in a balanced vertical line, a form that feels steady the moment you hold it. Each bead carries slight natural variation, the kind that becomes more beautiful the more you notice it.

Fiber
A short, hand-bound cotton tassel with a natural density. Soft in movement, calm in texture, and grounded by the way it falls. With time it will relax and soften, like fabric that remembers you.

Metal
A polished stainless-steel emblem engraved with our studio mark. Clear, minimal, and enduring, the finishing note that anchors the piece.

A MYJN® original, crafted in-studio and designed by Rowan.

  • Total Length: 15cm 

  • Tassel: 6cm Hand-Bound 100% Pure Cotton in cream white.

  • Ceramics: Triple-fired Glazed Ceramic Beads 

  • Hardware: Stainless Steel Tag.

  • Connector: Approximately 23mm polished high-tension O-Ring Clasp, 3.5mm thickness.

  • Pouch: Unbleached core, pure cotton pouch 12 x 7 cm.

How to Wear It

Designed for everyday ease. Clip it onto your keys, fasten it to a favourite bag, or let it rest on a belt loop. Wherever it sits, it adds a quiet, distinctive detail.

Care Instructions

Avoid prolonged contact with water, humidity, perfumes or lotions, as these may dull the beads or metal. The beads are delicate and may scratch or break if dropped. To maintain clarity, wipe gently with a clean, dry cloth and store in the pouch when not in use.

Disclaimer

Each bead carries natural variations in colour and surface, giving every piece its own character. The tassel is pure cotton and will soften or loosen slightly with regular handling, this is normal. As this is a complimentary, aesthetic item, wear, fray or breakage of the tassel is not covered under warranty. Handle gently and avoid pulling or catching it on sharp edges to keep it looking its best.
