The Gift that Stays

For the past nine years, we have carried a simple question with us:

How can we create something beautiful while leaving a lighter footprint behind?

Sustainability has never been a destination we reached, but a path we continue walking. It is found in the small choices we make, the materials we discover, and the details we refine along the way.

From the first touch of the packaging to the moment a piece of jewellery finds its new home, every decision carries our intention to create something more thoughtful.

Looking Beyond Recycled Paper

Our journey began with exploring renewable materials such as sugar cane fibre and different forms of recycled paper. While these choices were already steps towards a better practice, we continued searching for something beyond what we already knew.

We found inspiration in the overlooked.

Through the process of transforming agricultural and food residues into paper, materials that once had no purpose beyond being discarded could become part of something meaningful.

Instead of relying entirely on virgin tree fibre, these natural remnants are finely milled and blended into paper, giving them another life through craftsmanship.

Today, our packaging is created with materials including:

Each material carries a memory of where it came from. Their natural textures and quiet tones create colours that cannot be perfectly recreated, making every piece of paper feel slightly different.

We were surprised by their beauty.

The soft earthy shades, the subtle textures, and the unexpected transformation became exactly what we had been searching for.

A beautiful object should not only be seen, but lived with.

The Husks Collection

After months of research, sampling, and countless small adjustments, The Husks Collection was born.

Our signature drawer-style gift box was created with a simple hope: that packaging could become part of the gift itself, rather than something forgotten after opening.

Instead of creating something made only for a single moment, we wanted to create an object that could stay.

A place for your jewellery, letters, keepsakes, or little treasures collected through life.

Before eventually returning to the earth through recycling, we hope the box can accompany you for a little longer.

Each seasonal edition may feature different natural materials, creating its own colour and story. Once a particular material is finished, it may never return again, making every collection a small moment in time.

Packaging Only When You Need It

We believe beauty can also exist in simplicity.

Some customers prefer a more minimal approach, especially when they already have a MYJN gift box at home. We understand and are always happy to assist.

Our gift box is created to complete the experience of receiving jewellery, but we can carefully arrange multiple pieces together when possible to reduce unnecessary packaging.

If you already have the box or would prefer a simpler presentation, we will find another thoughtful way to prepare your order while keeping every piece protected.

Sometimes, choosing less is also a form of care.

Protecting Every Journey

While we continue to reduce unnecessary materials, we also believe your jewellery deserves a safe journey home.

Every gift box is placed inside a sturdy black paper board shipping box, protecting it throughout transit. For gifts, the outer protective box can simply be removed before presenting the jewellery to someone special.

Inside, soft 100% cotton paper gently cushions the gift box.

We cannot always control the journey a parcel takes, but we hope every package still carries the same warmth and thoughtfulness from our studio to your hands.

A Pouch Made to Stay

Every jewellery piece arrives inside a MYJN pouch, created to protect not only the piece itself but also the moments it becomes part of.

Made from a high-grade suede-like microfibre, the pouch is soft to touch while structured enough to hold its shape.

Two separate compartments help keep pieces apart, reducing scratches and minimising tarnish over time.

Finished with a woven MYJN label and clean double stitching, each pouch is designed to remain useful long after the first unboxing.

A small companion for your jewellery journey.

When Plastic Helps More Than It Hurts

Our goal has always been to reduce unnecessary materials, but sustainability also means protecting what already exists.

For delicate necklaces, we received many feedback about tangling during delivery. To prevent this, we use a small two-layer zip bag specially selected for fine chains.

We hope you continue using it during travel, where it can help prevent tangling and provide additional protection from moisture.

For selected pieces from The Atelier Silver Series, a small black anti-tarnish strip is included inside the storage bag.

When your jewellery rests, this small addition helps preserve its shine for longer.

Because caring for something well is also a way of making it last.

The Atelier Collection

Our finer jewellery line, The Atelier, comes with a specially designed suede-like microfibre drawstring tassel pouch.

Made from a thicker fabric and finished with a delicate tassel, it is created to be more than storage. It is something you can carry with you, a small object that belongs naturally in your everyday life.

For example, I use the pouch as a small compartment within my bag, where it keeps my essentials organised and beautifully presented whenever I take it out. Beyond its appearance, it also provides a gentle layer of protection, preventing unnecessary friction between my belongings.

Like our jewellery, we hope it stays with you.

Repair Before Replacement

For us, sustainability does not end when the jewellery leaves our studio.

It continues through care, repair, and the effort to preserve what has already been created.

Whenever possible, we would always choose to repair a piece rather than replace it.

When a piece does not meet our own standard, we sometimes restore it with a new element without additional charges, simply because we want to present something we feel proud for you to wear.

Our current aftercare services include:

For customers who experience sensitivity with silver earrings, we provide protective coating on selected earring posts to create a more comfortable wearing experience.

Our anti-tarnish coating is suitable for MYJN jewellery and is especially helpful for those who wear their pieces often and prefer a lower-maintenance routine.

We recommend cleaning and recoating approximately every six months, or every three months for pieces worn more frequently.

These services are available exclusively for MYJN jewellery. For assistance or a quotation, please contact us at help@myjnofficial.com.

Still Learning

We are a small team, and we know this journey is still unfolding.

There are always new materials to discover, better methods to explore, and more ways for us to improve.

Sometimes, despite every effort, unexpected situations may happen during delivery. When they do, we will always try our best to assist.

Our outer parcels use either biodegradable parcel bags or standard waterproof paper mailers. They are intentionally kept unbranded, reducing additional materials while allowing the focus to remain on what truly matters: the jewellery and the experience of receiving it.

Every choice we make is another small step towards a more thoughtful future.

If you have thoughts, suggestions, or ideas that could help us continue growing, we would love to hear from you.

Please write to us anytime at help@myjnofficial.com.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

Together, we hope to create objects that are not only beautiful to receive, but meaningful enough to keep.
