The Brand
Founded in 2017
MYJN is a jewellery and object-making studio in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, designing sculptural forms in gold vermeil, sterling silver, fine silver, brass, and freshwater pearl. Combining bold proportion with disciplined restraint, the house creates works that are at once substantial and intimate — appealing to the eye, weighted for the hand, and resolved to the point where nothing remains but the form itself and its relationship to the body.
The Forms
Other studios collect references. This one collects observations.
The concentric rings inside a halved cacao pod. The iron sweep of a shophouse door handle. The dual reading of a single Chinese character, one meaning ink, the other silence. Each enters the studio as a photograph, a palm-sized object, a sketch on the workbench. Then the removal begins, narrative, decoration, until the form retains only what it cannot lose.
The forms that survive: dome, sphere, egg, cuff, contour. Not a collection. A vocabulary. The studio returns to them the way a sculptor returns to the figure.

The woman
She brought it with her. She built it across years of choosing what to keep and what to release, until her instinct became reliable and her taste became quiet. She wears jewellery the way she holds a conviction.
We did not design her. We recognised her. She was in the room long before we made anything for her to wear.
The Moment
Not the unboxing. Not the first photograph. Not the compliment. The ordinary morning, months from now. The piece reached for without thought. The metal holding the specific warmth of one person. The day it is absent feeling quieter than the day it is not.
That passage, from something purchased to something that knows you, is the actual product. The metal, the form, the surface, the inspection, the box, this page: all preparation. We will never witness that moment. We built the entire studio around it.
Each piece is finished under the light it will be worn in. Inspected at the distance of skin. Released when it satisfies the hands that made it. There is no surplus. No unsold stock. No clearance. What is made is meant.

Gold vermeil over solid silver. Sterling silver as the archive's foundation. Fine silver at for the Atelier line. Brass for the forms that demand bolder weight. Freshwater pearl, shaped by patience rather than hands.
MATERIALSFive people. Made to order. Small-batch production. Recyclable packaging. Suppliers known by name and by years. The studio stays at a size where real attention is possible, because the work cannot exist without it.
SUSTAINABILITYWe have tools to make. If a surface dulls, if a clasp loosens, if years of daily wear leave their mark, send it back. We restore what has been loved. Jewellery worth making is jewellery worth keeping.
CARE
"We are not building the largest house. We are building the one you return to."
