begins with what’s left after harvest, the husks, pits, peels and quiet fibres most industries treat as the end of the story.

We bring those remnants back into the beginning.

Each edition is wrapped in ecological paper made with real process residues, ground into a fine raw material that replaces a portion of virgin tree fibre. That choice changes everything: the colour becomes warmer, the surface turns matte and tactile, and tiny speckles appear like evidence rather than decoration.

Folded into our low drawer structure, every Husk box is made to be kept — calm enough to live on a bedside table, deliberate enough to feel like an object, not packaging.

 

THE CHERRY EDITION BOX

begins after the preserving, when the sweetness is taken and something smaller is left behind.

In fruit preserve production, the waste and by products are largely the cherry pits, with the stalks recovered for other uses, intervenes at that quiet moment, taking what was once dismissed and elevating it into raw material for ecological paper. The pits are recovered, processed, and used to substitute up to 15% of tree cellulose, so the story of the cherry is not printed on the surface, it is folded into the sheet itself.

The result is a deep cherry tone with a soft, tactile grain that reads calm rather than loud. It feels closer to an object you place in your space than packaging you tear through.

We kept the form as simple as the story is complex: a low, architectural drawer, with the long MYJN wordmark stretched across the lid. No hardware, no extra framing, just the seam and the proportions drawing a single line through the middle. The drawer opens with a slower, more satisfying slide, the kind of friction you notice only because it feels considered.

And because it arrives in a colour people instinctively keep, it fits naturally into the season of reunion. A red you can live with. A small, deliberate square you return to, holding the pieces you wear on repeat, the notes you do not want to lose, the objects you like within arm’s length.

 

Box and Paper Details

- Drawer box structure, built in our low, architectural proportions.

- Wrapped in ecological paper, using by-products from cherry processing.

- Cherry pits are recovered from the preserves and jam supply chain, then dried and milled into a fine raw material. The cherry residue substitutes up to 15% of virgin tree cellulose in the paper sheet.

- Includes 40% post-consumer recycled cellulose, and is FSC™ certified, GMO free, and recyclable.

- Produced with renewable energy and described by the maker as carbon neutral.

- Handcrafted by our selected production team into the MYJN drawer format.

- Designed to be kept, and gentle enough to return to the paper cycle when its work is done.

** The tiny speckles and soft grain are created by the cherry residues within the paper itself — not printed texture.

 

Pouches

- Our pouch is made from the highest grade of suede-alike microfiber, soft to the touch, structured enough to hold its shape, and designed to protect. Inside, two separate pockets keep each piece from touching, preventing scratches and minimizing tarnish over time.

- All items are packaged in our signature pouch. The pouch features two separate compartments, so at times two pieces may be placed in one pouch. Each compartment is designed to prevent scratching or contact between pieces.

- Each pouch carries a woven MYJN label, specially sewn with clean, thick double-stitch lines on both sides.

- For sustainable purposes, we will fit up to 3 - 4 purchased items in a jewelry box.
