Crafted to last. Backed for life. Whenever you need us, we are one message away.

At MYJN, a piece does not end with a purchase. It begins a relationship. We believe true luxury includes peace of mind. Every MYJN design comes with thoughtful long term care. When you invest in quality, you deserve support that honors it.

Warranty That Means Something

We stand behind the structural craftsmanship of every piece.

What We Cover
(and Offer For Free)

Warranty by Material

  • Stainless Steel — 180 days of coverage

  • Gold Vermeil, Brass, and Sterling Silver — 90 days of coverage

  • Rings in Vermeil, Brass, or Sterling Silver — 60 days of coverage

Within these periods, we offer complimentary repair, replacement, resetting, or fixes whenever an issue is clearly the result of our workmanship.

Beyond the warranty window, we continue to support you. Clasp repairs, hinge adjustments, or re-tightening caused by daily wear or accidents can be arranged at fair, transparent pricing.

And always, a promise of lifetime guidance. If you ever feel your clasp or hinge loosening, or notice something doesn’t sit quite right, reach out to us early. Often, a quick adjustment is all it takes to prevent future damage and keep your piece with you for years to come.

Gemstone / Pearl Replacement and Setting

If a stone ever comes loose, we will replace it at no charge. Every setting is secured and inspected before leaving our studio, but if you receive your piece and the stone comes loose immediately, we replace it free of charge. If the stone loosens within 30 days of normal wear, we still cover it complimentary, provided a matching stone is available.

We Cover

  • Stones that arrive loose in their seats without any prong bending or impact marks.

  • Stones that fall out during first wear due to improper setting (not external force).

  • Bezels or prongs that are misbuilt at delivery and cannot secure the stone.

  • Pegged pearls that detach within the first wear without pry marks.

  • Adhesive failure that leaves a clean separation straight out of the box.

What falls outside a warranty

  • Stones chipped, cracked, or broken from impact, dropping, or snagging.

  • Stones loosened or lost after visible prong bending, lifting, or deformation.

  • Stones damaged by ultrasonic cleaning, steam cleaning, or harsh chemicals, especially plated or porous stones.

  • Stones altered by third-party jewellers (resetting, re-tipping, resizing).

  • Stones showing natural inclusions, growth lines, or slight variance in tone, luster, or shape.

  • Stone loss or movement caused by excessive pressure, bending of the band, or twisting of the setting.

  • Prongs or bezels distorted by user force, crushing, or wear over time.

  • Discoloration or dulling from skin chemistry, lotions, sunscreen, chlorine, seawater, or perfume.

  • Pearls scratched or dulled from abrasive storage or rubbing against harder jewellery.

Fading & Tarnishing

Your piece should hold its finish and brilliance. If fading or tarnishing occurs within the warranty period and it is not caused by exposure, misuse, or neglect, we fully cover it. We will restore or replace the piece at no charge if the finish fails due to our error.

We Cover

  • Plating or vermeil that arrives with peeling, blistering, or flaking on smooth, non-moving surfaces before the piece is worn.

  • Plating that shows immediate detachment or delamination within the first wear, not caused by friction or exposure.

  • Silver or vermeil surfaces delivered with heavy tarnish, staining, or uneven finish straight out of the box.

    This way we cover:

    1. Manufacturing faults

    2. Presentation defects

    3. Specification errors

What falls outside a warranty

  • Natural tarnish of sterling silver when exposed to air, humidity, or skin.

  • Patina, darkening, or dulling from normal wear.

  • Color fade or thinning of plating at joints, hinges, posts, or clasp areas where friction occurs.

  • Plating lightened on contact zones such as ring undersides, pendant bails, or chain links.

  • Changes in tone due to skin chemistry, sweat, perfume, sunscreen, hairspray, chlorine, or seawater.

  • Discoloration caused by improper storage, lack of cleaning, or exposure to abrasive cloths.

  • Surface differences between production batches within tolerance (slight tone shifts).

Professional Cleaning (Under Warranty)

During the warranty period, if tarnishing or fading occurs, every customer is entitled to complimentary professional cleaning. Our process includes a full polish, tarnish removal, anti tarnish protection, and a fresh protective recoating at no cost. If the piece cannot be restored through cleaning or recoating, we will replace it under warranty.

Beyond Warranty

After your warranty ends, we continue to support with professional cleaning and protective recoating at a minimal fee, so your jewellery always feels new.

Earrings post, studs, hinge joint

We Cover

  • Posts that break cleanly at the joint on arrival, with no bending or stress marks.

  • Posts that detach from the earring body before wear.

  • Backings supplied by MYJN that cannot grip a straight, correct-gauge post when new.

  • Hinged or snap-back earrings that arrive unable to close or lock securely.

  • Soldered joints on earring components that separate under a gentle pull (≤1 kg for 10 sec) with no deformation.

  • Sharp burrs or exposed edges on posts, hinges, or settings that scratch skin on first wear.

  • Gross plating voids or blistering on smooth visible surfaces at arrival.

What Falls Outside Warranty

  • Posts bent during insertion, removal, storage, or due to individual ear anatomy.

  • Coating that lightens or rubs away at posts, hinges, clasps, or joints from natural friction.

  • Loose fit of earring backs caused by thinner ear lobes or use of non-MYJN backs.

  • Hinges or snaps that relax gradually through repeated opening and closing.

  • Plating that thins or fades at contact points over time with wear.

  • Tarnish or surface dullness from air, humidity, or personal skin chemistry.

  • Damage from snagging on hair, clothing, or face masks.

  • Scratches, chips, or dents caused by dropping or impact.

  • Discomfort, sensitivity, or allergic reactions to alloys or plating (not considered a defect).

  • Loss of earrings or backs after delivery.

  • Discoloration or damage from perfume, lotion, sunscreen, chlorine, seawater, sweat, or household chemicals.

  • Any modification, resizing, or repair performed outside MYJN.

  • Pieces worn to bed, in sports, in the shower, or subjected to rough handling.

Necklaces, Chokers, Bracelets

Necklaces, bracelets, and chains depend on tiny clasps and joints to stay secure. Each clasp is hand set and soldered, then inspected for strength before we ship. Still, a clasp is one of the most delicate moving parts of any jewellery piece.

We Cover

  • Clasps (lobster, spring ring, box, magnetic) that arrive unable to close or lock, or open on their own during light movement.

  • Soldered links or jump rings at the clasp that separate under a gentle pull test (≤2 kg tension for 10 sec) with no sign of stretching or force.

  • Chain extenders, safety locks, or fasteners missing at delivery when listed in the product description.

  • Clasps or safety locks with sharp burrs that scratch skin on first wear.

  • Gross color patchiness on flat chain surfaces at arrival (e.g., plating voids, blistering).

What falls outside a warranty

  • Chains kinked, twisted, or flattened from pulling, snagging, or improper storage.

  • Clasps loosened or bent after being caught on clothing, hair, or bags.

  • Links stretched or deformed by force or heavy pulling.

  • Plating that fades or lightens over time at friction zones (chain links, clasp edges, connectors).

  • Breakage or deformation caused by impact, dropping, or sleeping with the piece on.

  • Discomfort caused by tight fit, swelling, or personal anatomy (wrist/neck size).

  • Variations in chain flexibility, drape, or texture that are normal to the style.

  • Damage after third-party alteration, resizing, or repair.

If your piece becomes tangled:

Delicate chains can occasionally tangle, whether from movement during delivery, or from daily wear if not stored or handled with care. It is a common and natural part of how fine jewellery lives with us. While tangling is not covered under our structural warranty, it is usually easy to resolve and we are always here if you need help.

Each piece is packed in our signature double layer pouch, with an OPP bag thoughtfully designed to separate the chain and pendant to help prevent tangling. But some shifting in transit, or during wear, can still happen, especially with finer chains.

Most knots are surface level and simple to undo with gentle fingers and a little patience. We can guide you through it step by step. Prefer in person help. Visit our studio. Untangling is always complimentary. If you are further away, you can ship it to us. We will restore it carefully and return it to you. Shipping fees apply.

How Shipping Works

Under Warranty

You cover return shipping to us.

We cover reshipping the repaired or replacement piece back to you

After Warranty

All shipping fees both ways are covered by the customer.

We recommend using a trackable courier. Items altered by other jewellers are not eligible for service.

Lost Something

We understand losing a piece is painful. Warranty does not cover lost items, but we are always here to help. Many earrings are available as singles, and we are happy to offer a replacement at a special rate whenever possible. Just reach out.

Jewellery That Stays With You

At MYJN, we do not just make pieces. We make promises. Every clasp, every joint, every surface is checked by hand before it leaves our studio. What you receive is not only jewellery, but a commitment to care, restore, and support the pieces you love for years to come.

MYJN Warranty Note

Sterling silver is a precious, soft metal, part of what makes it beautiful, and it deserves gentle handling. Areas like earring posts, studs, and clasps are naturally delicate. We weld and test every joint carefully before shipping, yet breakage from extra force, bending, twisting, or snagging is considered normal wear and not covered under warranty.

The most common issues with silver arise from everyday use: bending a clasp, twisting a post, or forcing a hinge open. These are man-made stresses. But if a fault appears that comes from us : such as a defective weld or a part that loosens without misuse, we take full responsibility, and you will receive a free repair or replacement.

Jewellery also changes with time. Posts and hinges may show lighter coating from friction; hoops often have thinner plating at their moving points. This is expected and does not reduce function or durability. Customers who prefer a finish that never fades should consider sterling silver or stainless steel, as all plated and vermeil surfaces will eventually show wear at their joints.

Every MYJN product page clearly states the material and finish ( sterling silver, 18k gold vermeil, or stainless steel ) so you can make the right choice for your skin and lifestyle. Skin sensitivity is highly individual; even certified hypoallergenic metals can sometimes cause a reaction. Because the composition is disclosed before purchase, material choice rests with the customer, and allergic responses are not treated as a manufacturing fault.
