*Using Qiemo Jade hand-picked from Xinjiang, China, a premium variety of Hetian nephrite known for its natural sugar-toned hues. Qiemo is especially recognised for Sugar Jade, with warm honey-brown and caramel tones naturally layered against creamy white or soft yellowish inner cores.

Story behind:

We wanted to bring a little of autumn into the collection, through a palette of muted greens, warm browns, and soft whites that feels naturally at home with the season.

The series began with jade, inspired by the quiet beauty of French Chinoiserie, Japanese Japonism, and traditional Chinese aesthetics. We were drawn to the way these influences bring together nature, ornament, and a sense of fantasy, while still leaving room for simplicity.

The wallpaper by de Gournay became part of this visual language. Its delicate natural motifs bring a sense of richness to the interior, while the muted palette of the de Gournay tearoom in Shanghai especially stayed with us. There was something beautifully Chinese about the space, almost dreamlike, with colours that reminded us of autumn.

From there, we wanted to create jade jewellery that felt simple enough to carry with you every day. A small piece to wear on its own, pair with other jewellery, or simply keep in your bag and take with you wherever you go.

For me, jade has always felt like a statement piece in its own way. Not something reserved for special occasions, but something personal that can quietly become part of your everyday life. There is an old saying that everyone needs a pearl. I like to think jade can have that same place in our lives, a little piece of beauty that stays with you.
